After
the tremendous success of their first ever show in 2010, the Ex-Students of SEC
now present their second show “Living Their Dreams”, to encourage the students.
This show has been put together by 7 ex-students of SEC with physical
disabilities - Bandenawaz Nadaf, Shahanawaz Shaikh, Rahim Khan, Sunil Darekar, Haseeb Chaudhary, Shubham Rajshekar Paitti and Nitin Bhise, who
have put together a collection of paintings, inspired by various artists
“The
concept behind this show is to recognize, appreciate and give a boost to our
students who despite their severe handicap and all odds, try to maintain a
positive approach towards life”, says Zarine Chothia, Vice President

“The
success of the first show has seen immense changes in the artist’s lives. Their
self esteem and confidence has grown. They have become independent and are able
to look after basic financial needs. At home, they are respected by their
family rather being treated as a burden”, adds Ms Manju Utamchandani,
Project Co-ordinator, Society for the Education of the Crippled (SEC).
