Pradarshak presents
Pradarshak is proud to present "Vidyarthi Vishesh" - the student special in its eighteenth consecutive year. Participating are around 35 students from leading colleges of art in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Sangli, Latur and Nasik.
Vidyarthi Vishesh is an exhibition that
highlights diverse styles, techniques and mediums and is truly affordable!! The
artists traverse through a gamut of personal experiences, general observations
and the diabolic imprint of the social scenario. The bouquets and the brickbats
carve the psyche of the individual artist as he/she banks on the creative
expression of his brush to delve deeper into his impressionist as well as
expressionist self and at times, into surrealist forays.
In its third successive year online, the exhibition's voting system is also open online, inviting art
lovers to vote for as many paintings as they like. The most favoured artist
will be awarded for ‘Public Choice’.

The Awards: Since 2003, the gallery has instituted two awards to the students every year: One is based on “Public Choice” and is collated using a voter system, where every visitor is asked to list 3 paintings in the order of his preference. The second award is based on “Gallery Choice”, where the technicalities and growth of the student artist is considered by the gallery. The awards for the previous year are presented in the current year.
The body of work is expansive and
selected from the Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced, Diploma, Degree and Post
Graduate classes. This gives the students a chance to observe in a mixed
sphere, relate to techniques and applications, and learn from each other; it
also initiates them into the art of presentation and pricing.
This year the prices range from a minimum
of Rs.1000 to a maximum of Rs. 15,000/- thus making original art from the
‘artists of tomorrow’ accessible and affordable.
