Young, impressionable, debutante Radhika Barve is a keen observer. Her senses constantly process objects, instances, anecdotes in her surroundings, translating them into imagery. “Dot is the start of any story,” says the enthusiastic youngster, “as every journey begins from it.”

Interpreting everyday overtures as paintings and graphic prints, each medium gives expression to her varying strengths, experiences and moods. Shying away from stark applications, Radhika works with hues and tints. She shuns red as the potency disturbs her. Mellow and almost serene, her paintings and prints tend to be a direct reflection of the artist’s temperament- unfazed, easy going, but layered; with substance that needs to be keenly unravelled to be understood.
