Solo Exhibition of Relief Art by Balu N Chaudhari

This young artist from
Bhopal (originally from Pune), keeps pace with life and living via his creative
abstraction. Mapping his thoughts and perception to abstract musings, he uses
the reverse process to paint on acrylic sheets. Says Balu, “The nature of abstraction
in my work is not steady. I always try to measure the limit of the medium to
help me realize my creative passions in visual forms. And here, I believe that
the medium for artistic expression does not only constitute the material
objects outside the artist, but also the artist’s own state of mind is an
integral part of the medium. Thus if the change on the outside is not
accompanied by the change of the mental state, then creative expression is
partial”.
What emerges is a
defined, unique form that is visually arresting and seems to draw you into a
conversation. Exploring the balance between constant and change, he captures
the infinite forms in nature as fastidious expressions of his constantly
changing perceptions in life using acrylic colours on acrylic sheet, painting
on the reverse and then working on relief /embossing. Exploring and
experimenting with new materials brings this thought process a full circle and
new possibilities emerge.

In his work, lies his
philosophy. Scenic vistas do not remain just vistas; they transform into a
medium of enquiry… the conscious and unconscious submerge to create countless
manifestations of nature’s regenerative forms. All is not visible; it is
experienced. Like in a tiny seed one can experience the grandeur of life. Reluctant to get typecast, Balu shuns any
distinct plans; instead, opting to try and find the rhythm of the abstract. In
this new awakening, he finds novelty in form, texture and rhythm with each
unique work of art!
I am extremely impressed along with your writing abilities, Thanks for this great share.
