Each year a new thought is born; each student
exhibition, someone comes forth with a new idea, a novel perception, a twist in
approach… this time too, the semi-abstract paintings have a layered presence.
Very few seem straight-forward, easily comprehensible. The rest are nuanced…
intelligible yet distant; but aesthetically very appealing. Whether the artist
has conveyed all that he/ she proposed to, is a matter apart. What he/she has
accomplished is a qualitative balance of elements that count.
