9th - 20th April 2018: Pradarshak presents ‘Habitat’ Abstract landscapes by Ambereen Dharamsey.
Ambereen is an artist by chance as the self-taught young lady is just so exuberant by nature, she needs more than a canvas of life to spill her energies into! Vibrant and full of joie de vivre, the artist’s paintings are an extension of her thoughts – with cheerful colours that create layers of expression capturing your attention in the oldest narration of mankind – habitat.

Camouflaged yet recognisable, you can see dwellings by valleys, along water banks, amidst lush greenery and even along mountainsides, as the abstract landscapes unfold in a medley of discerningly deliberated textures. The artist uses brush, palette knife, roller, even her fingers to draw out the essence of her expression as joyful hues merge, taper out, and play truant in absolute abandon in her paintings.
Viewed on a metaphysical level, her paintings can be interpreted as a depiction of the solace of home and hearth in the chaos of everyday existence. Only, in this case, the chaos is as cheerful and happening as the solace. The paintings reveal the musings of a happy soul, who sees beauty in everything.
